Emma Marie is a 12-year old singer songwriter from Northern Colorado. She is petite in stature, but the power of her voice conveys her passion for music. Emma Marie’s love of singing began as a toddler. Her songwriting journey began when she started guitar lessons. She quickly turned new chords into a melody for her first song at age nine. In the summer of 2014, she performed her first two original songs to win a singing competition called "Big Country's Got Talent" at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Her musical journey was underway!
Emma Marie loves performing and particularly enjoys sharing her special song, "Whispers of Love" for those who share in her special bond of adoption. She has been honored to perform this song for numerous adoption fundraising events. Emma Marie has been featured on KRFC, Seacrest Studios, CSU radio stations, as well as Internet radio. Through her ties with Blue Star Connection, she has the privilege of bringing music to the lives of children and young adults with challenges and life threatening illnesses. She was awarded "Performer of the Year" for 2016 at Blue Star Connection's yearly benefit event. Emma Marie has performed at various festivals, including Blues from the Top, Loveland Fire and Ice, Realities Ride, Night Lights, Carnation Festival, RAMP/lLineage Festival at Mishawaka, Demolition Derby, Greeley Stampede, Open Streets, and Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest in Fort Collins. At NewWestFest, she was the youngest to play on the adult stage.
Emma Marie has collaborated with another young guitarist out of London, Lucy Gowen. Despite living 5,000 miles apart, the girls were able to record audio and a music video to the cover "Sweet Child O' Mine". They recently released their second music cover, Knockin on Heaven's Door and continue to record music together online. This collaboration has generated much interest to an international audience. In fact, the two girls had the honor to appear on the hit show, Little Big Shots UK in the spring of 2017. This was a fantastic experience for them and they met for the first time on stage in front of a studio audience. The two young musicians were introduced by Colorado program, Rising Artist Mentorship Program. Otherwise known as RAMP.
Besides songwriting, Emma Marie loves performing in musicals. She earned roles in Peter Pan, Once Upon a Mattress, The Emperor’s New Clothes, Little Mermaid, Cinderella and The Wizard of Oz, where she played the lead role of Dorothy. She also enjoys singing in church and has participated in a local auditioned choir, Centennial Children's Chorus. When she isn’t pursuing her passion for music, Emma Marie loves to read, draw, dance, and go camping and boating with her friends and family. She is happy to share her love of music and to encourage people with the lyrics to her songs.
