Pandas and People is a two-piece alternative folk band rooted in northern Colorado.

Held together by lead vocalist and bassist Joshua Scheer and guitarist Johnny Day, Pandas and People began as a side project in a basement in Greeley, Colorado, in 2013.

Feedback from family and friends pushed Pandas and People to take the project off the backburner. The band recorded their first single “On My Way” in November of 2013 and was chosen as a top-10 contender for a local competition put on by KTCL-FM (93.3.) Listeners voted the song into the top three in the statewide competition, ultimately inspiring the band to record and release their self-titled debut EP in early 2014.

Since then, Pandas and People have been voted “Best New Artist” by “The Colorado Sound” and were nominated as “Best Folk Band in Colorado” by Westword Magazine. The band has opened for major acts such as the Doobie Brothers, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Twenty One Pilots, as well as KTCL-FM’s Big Gig 2015 at Fiddler's Green Amphitheater.

Accompanied at live performances by Grayson Erhard on mandolin, Adam Haag and Timothy Sweet on percussion, and Conrad Marshall on guitar, Pandas and People offers a traditional folk and Americana sound with an underlying hint of alternative rock, creating an innovative fusion of sound that sticks with you from the moment you hit play.
