2019 Volunteer Job Descriptions
Kids' Music Adventure Team
All volunteers interested in a Kids' Music Adventure role must be screened by our Verified Volunteer service. The process is secure and we pay for it! Positions include:
Kids' Music Adventure Runners are energetic people who are willing to be available to help wherever needed within Kids' Music Adventure.
Kids' Music Adventure Greeters will help direct guests, answer questions, and encourage all attendees to explore the many offerings that Kids' Music Adventure has to offer. This position includes keeping a count of the visitors entering Kids' Music Adventure, and also may have a lot of downtime.
Kids' Music Adventure Hospitality Hosts ensure that the Artist Tent is maintained for cleanliness and appearance. You help make our little artists' and VIP guests' experience memorable and special. This role includes answering any questions from visitors, distributing goodies, assisting with the needs of the Artists' Tent, and overall providing a friendly face to assist with visitor needs.
Assist with the setup of Kids' Music Adventure. Tasks could include assembling tents, moving chairs and bins, or the setup of the Artist Tent.
Assist children in making instruments in the Instrument Petting Zoo. Craft supplies are provided.
Assist children in the discovery and delight of a variety of musical instruments in the Instrument Petting Zoo.
Festival Support Team
These volunteers keep the festival moving smoothly. Positions include:
Accessibility Escorts assist patrons to and from designated accessibility viewing areas and help to ensure that they are having a safe and enjoyable festival experience.
The Setup and Strike Crews are involved in the setup or breakdown and cleanup process as the festival opens or closes down. Be prepared to do some lifting, walking and carrying!
Festival Runners are called upon when coolers need to be refilled or when supplies or food need to be delivered around the festival. Volunteers in this position must be able to visit and learn about multiple parts of the festival and be willing to jump in wherever needed!
Volunteer Check-In Attendants check in volunteers for their shift, grab them a T-shirt if needed and point them in the direction they should be headed for their assigned shifts.
Info Booth Attendants work alongside Downtown Business Association volunteers to provide detailed information about music, artists and the festival in general. They also assist festival attendees with directions and provide materials, such as the music guide and festival guide, to attendees.
Operations Team
Artist Lot Attendants are generally the first smiling face Bohemian Nights performers see. They facilitate the flow of artist vehicles at the Artist Check-In/Parking and help direct public traffic away from the lot. Attendants assist bands in finding convenient parking spaces, inform bands about the Instrument Storage area, and answer other logistical questions as well as assist the Artist Check-In Liaison as needed.
The Promotions Crew serves as the "street team" for the Bohemian Nights music program, handing out promotional items as well as information.
